Can you move both upright and grand pianos?
Yes, we move uprights, baby grands, and full grand pianos with the right gear for each type. Grands can be partly disassembled where needed and carefully reassembled at the destination. Whatever you own, we plan the move around it.
What about narrow stairs or a high floor?
This is exactly where our experience pays off, especially in older Dutch homes. When the staircase is too tight, we bring a furniture lift to move the piano through a window or balcony safely. We assess the route in advance so there are no surprises on the day.
How much does piano moving cost?
Piano moves are priced on the instrument, the access at both addresses, and whether a lift is needed, often starting from around 150 euro. You receive a clear fixed price after we review the details. There are no surprise charges once the work is done.
How do you move a piano down a narrow staircase or through a tight door?
Pianos are heavy, valuable, and awkward, so the route out of your home matters as much as the instrument itself. We assess the staircase, doorways, and corners in advance, and where the stairs are too narrow we use a furniture lift through a window or balcony. This protects both your piano and your walls, and it keeps the move on a fixed price with no naheffing.
What should you do with your piano after it has been moved?
Moving changes a piano's environment, and the vibration and temperature shift can affect its tuning. We recommend letting your piano settle in its new room for a couple of weeks before you have it tuned, so it adjusts to the new humidity and temperature. Tell us where it should stand and we will position it away from direct heat and damp for you.

Pianos often benefit from tuning after a move once they settle into the new room. We handle the transport with care, and we recommend tuning a couple of weeks later.
